Updated: Mar 13, 2020

About This Game About Runeous is a 2 part story. In this episode we introduce the characters and the main plot which will be concluded in part 2. Each installment is free to play and serve as a beginning for our studio's future products. This Episode contains roughly 20 minutes of game time. Story The story follows a small group of heroes in a world ravished by the wars of its past. Runestones possessing magical qualities are what fuel the industry, their secrets long ago lost. Humans research them to unlock their hidden potential. Overpopulation in cities built for far fewer inhabitants. Homes built atop homes with giant walkways connecting the various levels together. The world of Ceir'a faces a new threat. It is here that Leif, a young runic apprentice meets a Jacawi tribeswoman Eme. Together they must overcome the differences of their people and unite the factions to thwart the rising evil empire. Though not all is as it seems when the very fabric of nature begins to fall apart! Characters The story follows 4 main characters and various 'NPCs' who help the story along. Being a story of 2 parts, we will be introducing more plot essential characters in the second episode. 7aa9394dea Title: Runeous: Part OneGenre: Casual, Indie, SimulationDeveloper:Novel Tea GamesPublisher:Lost FablesRelease Date: 28 May, 2016 Runeous: Part One Keygen Online runeous part one achievements. runeous part one achievements Even though it is free, going to have to vote thumbs down. I understand what the developers are trying to do - build up some momentum, leave the game on a cliff hanger and hopefully the player will buy Part II when it eventually comes out (.. if it ever comes out). However, rather than giving you half a book, you are just getting the prologue. The game takes around 20 minutes to beat, 5 minutes extra to test the extra paths; there are 3 decisions in the game, none of which appear to affect anything other than the 3-4 lines after the choice. The world seems interesting, but way too short/shallow to be invested in any of the characters. The game engine is lackluster, no option to get rid of animations, or to speed up text. There is an option to "skip" but no usual choice between "skip seen before" and "skip all."The background art is beautiful and one of the best I have seen in any VN. A lot of talent there! The character art however, I did not like - bland looking and the faces all look mushy. That is not to say that I can draw any better, because I certainly cannot, but just isn't my style. In conclusion, I hate to be giving bad reviews to free games because there was certainly a lot of effort here. However, it simply isn't substantial enough, even as an introduction to the world. For that reason my recommendation is to pass and check out some of the other free VNs that are more fleshed out.. complete utter♥♥♥♥♥. I believe this may have been my first actual visual novel game. Nice story, nice music. The only weird thing was the story took place in the year 600 or something and there were trains & electricity. Part of it felt a little Final Fantasy-ish. Like if Final Fantasy 6 was in visual novel form. It took me roughly 45 minutes to 100% this game.. The story is interesting enough to pass some time. It was quite short though and I wished it had gone on for longer than it did. The backgrounds, although not very visually detailed, were pretty enough. The faces of the characters were a bit oddly proportioned under certain expressions and were not consistent enough across changes in facial expression; the artist needs a bit more practice with faces. Also I suggest following those "anime" eye rules; pinpoint-irises tend to look like bad guys whereas larger irises look warmer, amiable, and trustworthy. The music was good enough; felt a bit repetitive but then again I think that might be a problem with the genre in general; perhaps reduce the sense of repetitiveness with introduction of ambient sound and event sounds. More intervening event images would also help. And although it was only less than a handful of instances, probably 2 (but i cannot recall), tidy up the grammar. All in all, i guess I will have to give it a recommendation because its good enough for the price, which is free. I don't see why people should avoid a free story-with-accompanying-art experience.. complete utter♥♥♥♥♥. Nice introduction which has drawn me into wanting to know more.. I hate to be the odd man out. But this is the first legitimately negative review for this title.)This free short story is one-part of a two-part plan and is about 30-40 minutes long from my experience (slow reader). Both parts 1 & 2 are intended to be presented in 2 formats each, Visual Novel (or VN) and Animation. Logically, this review is for the VN version of Runeous Part 1.Personally, it took me about an hour to see all paths. To be frank and with all due respect to the team who developed this particular title, I'm not really impressed. Although the story started in a decent manner, the bickering of the two narrators left an awful taste in my mouth. (Why does there need to be more than one narrator? If they don't cooperate, it just falls apart.) However, I may just be spoiled by other VN projects. I personally believe this one missed its mark.PROS:+ Great scenery backgrounds+ Skip works when you're not in-window+ Character art is...decentCONS:- Story feels generic- Narrators constantly bickering- Occassional grammatical errors- Some character portraits are not properly alligned- Lene's portrait when skipping the story had the wrong image (terrified Lene)- No BACK button- Music loops will get irritating- "Skip" is too slow- Character art may not be bad, but still bothers meI respect this small team for developing this title (along with their ambitions to complete the story), however, it's been a negative experience on my part. I can't say whether part 2 would be good or not, but aside from achievements and a free and easy 100%, I cannot in good faith recommend this title.3/10 A visual novel that just didn't hit its mark.. Interesting storyline. I would love to see a Part Two :). A very short VN with simple interface, and nice art style, the BGs were also very good tbh, after playing this first part, I’m really curious for the second part. Its short, free and interesting, a nice way to break the pace of more demanding games.. It's short and free, but other than that...I didn't feel anything for the characters, except disliking them. The story has not yet really begun so there's not much to tell either. The bickering narrators are annoying rather than funny, and breaking the 4th wall is distracting when the rest of the story is supposedly serious.I'm not a fan of the art style for the characters, they always look either angry of monster-like, but the backgrounds look good. The music is on short and on repeat, it's boring. No volume control , by the way.Try it if you have less than an hour to lose, but it'd be better spent on another game.
